(June 1, 2015 – Taipei) Chuango Security Technology Corporation, an innovative developer of wireless DIY home security systems, is pleased to announce the winning of Computex d&i awards 2015 by its own smart home technology brand smanos. “We are humbled, honored and excited that our own brand and the epitome of its innovative spirit – the K1 SmartHome DIY Kit – have been recognized by yet another international award, after winning the Red Dot in March,” said Ken Li, founder and CEO of Chuango.
Computex d&i awards have been jointly organized by TAITRA (Taiwan External Trade Development Council) and iF Design for the last eight years. A jury consisting of six renowned experts convened in Taipei in April to examine and assess 271 entries, eventually selecting 72 award winners. When selecting, the experts paid particular attention to criteria such as degree of innovation, quality of design, craftsmanship, selection of materials, environmental friendliness, functionality, utility value, safety, ergonomics, universal design, brand value and branding.
